Who we are

The Tracking Geeks is an independent supplier of vehicle, asset and driver tracking, based in Bedfordshire and working across the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. You can reach us on 07800 571427.

What we collect

When you complete an enquiry form or sign up to our email letter we collect your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in and anything you choose to write in the message field. If you become a customer we also hold account and billing records, along with details of the vehicles or assets we have fitted.

Why we use it

We use your details to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, arrange installation and support your account afterwards. Where you have asked to receive our email letter we use your name and email address to send it. Our lawful bases are your consent for marketing, and legitimate interests or performance of a contract for everything else.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and only with the tracking manufacturers, monitoring providers and installation engineers involved in delivering your system, plus our accountants and IT suppliers. We never sell your personal information to anybody.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted within twenty four months. Customer records are kept for the life of the account and then for six years, so that we can meet our tax and insurance obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email or call us and we will action it. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
